New Business Account Executive: If you can sell, then KTXL FOX40 wants you! We are looking for two New Business Account Executives to join our sales team. Applicants should be computer literate in Excel and PowerPoint, have excellent written and oral presentation skills, and some previous sales experience. No prior broadcast experience is necessary. What is necessary is the ability to learn quickly, think on your feet, be resourceful, and want to help your clients win. NEWS OPENINGS

KTXL-TV, FOX 40 in Sacramento, is launching new shows, and needs innovative and resourceful people in many areas.  All positions, with the exception of Editor/Production Assistants, require a Bachelors level degree.  Qualified candidates are encouraged to send their cover letter, resume, and demo reel via email, mail or fax to the address listed below.

Weekend/Night Assignment Desk: Do you like listening to nine scanners, while talking on three phones, and filing press releases with your toes?   Can you arrange a live shot from an affiliate in Antarctica using nothing more than duct tape and an AM radio?  Do you live, eat, and breathe news?  FOX40, an innovative Tribune company, has an immediate opening for an Assignment Editor who knows how to spot a good story, and can cut through the wordy press releases, and understands when to make mundane emergency calls a VO, and when they should be a lead story. Qualified candidates will have a college degree. Two years of previous experience as an assignment editor or equivalent work experience in local print, radio, web, or TV news is preferred.  Qualified candidates, send your resume to the address listed below.

PT Photographer: Looking for an experienced Part-time Photographer who has a minimum of 2 years experience shooting breaking news, feature stories, interviews and editing news stories either teamed with a reporter or working solo. Must be able to tell a compelling story with video and edit with linear and non-linear systems under deadline pressure. Experience with SNG/ENG truck operations is preferred.  Send a beta/dvd with samples of your work to the address listed below.
