Police say a man turned himself in yesterday for hitting a woman on I-80 near Roseville.
Twenty-year-old Jeremy Sam Sarguis of Antelope was booked in the Placer County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run.
Someone called police around 5 A.M. Thursday morning to report a body in the road on the westbound Atlantic Street on-ramp.
Investigators confirmed the victim was 47-year-old Vickie Scott of Grass Valley.
The trauma on her body led officials to believe she was hit by a vehicle and thrown about 200 feet.
Sarguis is currently being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
