ORANGEVALE -
A manhunt is over after police captured two people who led them on a high-speed chase.
It started in Auburn around 4 A.M. on Sierra College Blvd.
Police say two people; one a parolee at large, the other, a female parolee; were driving as fast as 90 miles per hour in Honda Prelude.
They led officer through Placer County and into Sacramento County before they crashed in Orangevale.
The two parolees took off on foot.
Four law enforcement agenices arrived on the scene, including K-9 units with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Departments.
"We started searching from the car, and started doing a yard-to-yard search,"said Sgt. Donna Goncalves with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
The search dogs led officers to a shed where the driver of the vehicle was hiding.
"[The dog] barked at the shed and we knew he was in there," Goncalves said. "We ordered him out and he wasn't coming out. Eventually, we kicked in the door and he started giving up."
Both people are now in custody.
