Call Your Doctor To Get Swine Flu Nasal Sprays
SACRAMENTO - More than 400 thousand swine flu nasal sprays are already being distributed to local clinics and doctor's offices.

The phones are ringing at U.S. HealthWorks clinic in West Sac.

Many are asking about the H1N1 vaccine. This clinic doesn't have the nasal sprays yet, but that's not stopping patients from asking. Dr. Diana Accinelli says, call your doctor to find them.

Right now, the available nasal sprays are reserved for kids 2-9 years old and those who take care of infants. Other age groups can get the shot or spray when it becomes available. Pregnant women must wait for the H1N1 shot. Infants under six months old don't need any vaccination. These sprays are expected to go fast. Kip Meade is a Daid, and his 19-month old daughter doesn't qualify for the spray. "The health of our baby is definitely the number one priority, and the thing we have to worry about." He's hoping to get the shots in a few weeks, but questions are still on his mind.

"We don't really know the whole process, we know there are some places you can go to," he says. Once again, the swine flu shots are expected in a few weeks, along with more nasal spray supplies. Doctors say, with both, it's going to be on a first come, first serve basis, and they are prepared for waiting lists. County Public Health Departments are planning on holding mass clinins in the future.
