SACRAMENTO—
July 16 through July 22, Sacramento will be one of 15 cities nationwide to host Navy Week 2012.
Navy Week is an annual event in which area residents can meet sailors and learn about the Navy.
According to a news release, the purpose of Navy Week is to “show Americans the return they receive for their substantial investment in America’s Navy.”
Events in Sacramento are scheduled to include performances by the Navy Band, senior Navy leaders engaging with local leaders, a Navy simulator will be on display and visits with local schools and veterans.
