If tickets or stern warnings aren't convincing your teenager to stop texting behind the wheel a new video just might.
In the U.K. there's a new video being used as part of a new campaign at high schools to raise awareness of the dangers of texting while driving.
With the help of actors and special effects, the video graphically shows the crash and aftermath of what could happen when a driver is distracted. The teen texter ends up killing her two friends, along with a father.
FOX40 showed the video to a group in Sacramento and many said they would likely never text and drive again.
A recent study showed reaction times slowed by 35% when 17 to 24-year-olds drove while reading and writing text messages. Still nearly half of drivers between 18 and 24 text behind the wheel.
