The US Government has already purchased 195 million doses of the H1N1 vaccine, available to the public sometime in October, but fears the vaccine may not be effective for everyone.

A Sacramento County health officer is scheduled to inform local school administrators on the latest safety precautions involving the H1N1 "Swine Flu" virus.

Health officials say the H1N1 virus could still be a threat over the next few months, especially with the upcoming flu season. The US Government has already purchased 195 million doses of the H1N1 vaccine, available to the public sometime in October, but fears the vaccine may not be effective for everyone.

Expects now say the virus that appears in April may mutate while it spreads this season, which would make the vaccine useless.

The drug Tamiful had been used earlier this year to combat Swine Flu-related symptoms. In a report issued last week, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated the drug was not needed by those with mild to moderate signs of the virus, but was still needed for those who are young, elderly or who have nominal health concerns.
