Some Hollywood actors are hard at work in Sacramento this week, starring in a local director's latest feature which is shooting at various locations around the city.

The director is Deon Taylor, and his project is called "Dark Christmas." It's part of his cable TV series, "Nite Tales," which airs on WGN. Among the actors are Tony Todd from the movie, "Candy Man," and David Faustino who was one of the stars of the hit FOX TV show, "Married With Children."

Taylor has several projects slated for release in 2010, including two movies coming out on DVD, and a feature called "Chain Letter" which will open in theaters. "Dark Christmas" is scheduled to air on cable next December.

Taylor says he will have to shoot some of his future projects outside of Sacramento because filming in the Capitol City can be expensive. But he prefers to keep the work here in his home town. "It costs me another fifty (to) one-hundred-thousand dollars every time I bring a production to Sacramento," Taylor told FOX40 on Tuesday. "But I don't mind because you're around friends and family, you get to hire local people, and that's what it's all about."
