Authorities are investigating the cause behind a deadly early Wednesday collision that left a security guard from a popular Sacramento night club dead.Sacramento Police say 64-year-old Leroy Fisher died at the UC Davis Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle near the Badlands nightclub in Downtown Sacramento shortly after 1:00am.
Twenty-three-year-old Michael Weisz was arrested by Sacramento police in connection with Fisher's death. Police report Weisz, along with some associates, were removed from the nightclub shortly before Fisher's death. Authorities say they believe Weisz intentionally hit Fisher with his vehicle.
A candlelight vigil has been organized by community members for 7PM Wednesday evening outside the Badlands nightclub.
There were no other injuries associated with the incident.
