RANCHO CORDOVA -
manhunt for a teenager accused of fatally shooting two people at a birthday party in Galt has prompted the lockdown of a local high school.
Authorities with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and the FBI were searching along Old Placerville Road, White Rock Road and Rockingham Road for 18-year-old Alfred Tafoya, the key suspect in the shooting deaths of 20-year-old Efrain Zambrano and 24-year-old Carlos Alonso Saturday afternoon.
As a precaution, nearby George Washington High School has also been locked down while authorities search the area. That lockdown has since been lifted after authorities realized the person of interest they thought they saw in the area was unrelated to the Galt homicide case.
Police have an active search warrant for Tafoya.
