SACRAMENTO —
Charges of lewd acts with a 13-year-old girl.

And providing teens with ecstasy.

A Del Paso Heights apartment is allegedly where it all took place, just below a wall spray painted with suspect Michael Gille's name.

Fox 40 got inside that apartment, where the 35-year-old Gilles has lived for the past week.

"He had this little 12-year-old, or 13-year-old in there. He said it was his niece. That she got beat up from her father, and that he was trying to find a safe house for her to go to," said Gilles' landlord, Mary Godfrey.

Attending Gilles' arraignment on Tuesday, sickened Godrey, who rented the apartment he was living in.

"Disgusted. God will take care of him in the long run. He's not gonna go out on the street again," she said.

And it's what she saw inside that apartment that has left her disturbed.

"I saw two kids laying out on one of the mattresses when I went by there earlier. A girl and a boy... He had king-sized mattresses, took up most of the living room," Godfrey recalled.

The landlords adult son, showed us a graffitied wall in the back bedroom where the other teens had allegedly stayed.

Mary and her husband Dale, went to see Gilles last night at the jail, trying to recover rent money.

"He was worried about what's gonna happen with the children charges," Godfrey said. "But other than that, the drug charges, he said I'll worry about that later."
