WOODLAND -
The Yolo County district attorney says no criminal charges will be filed against three Yolo County Sheriff's deputies involved in a deadly shooting.
Back in April, those deputies fired six shots, killing 26-year-old Luis Gutierrez, a Woodland farm worker.
An autopsy revealed Gutierrez was hit once in the back and that he had meth in his system.
Deputies said the suspect was twisting around, swinging a pocket knife at one of them.
A 37-page district attorney office report and a supporting letter from the attorney general conclude the shooting was justified.
A separate investigation by the FBI is ongoing.
A number of protests have taken place, alleging the shooting constituted racial profiling.
