Two People Hurt at Un-Related Gas Station Robberies
SACRAMENTO - Something as common as going to pump gas, can turn very dangerous. In the last few days, two people were robbed and beaten up. A beer run turned into a beating for a man and his friend and an Am/Pm in Woodland. Surveillance video shows a group of guys swarming the victims from all directions...one of them armed with a knife. They drove off, their only score..two cases of Natural Light. This wasn't the only case of criminals passing up the cashier, and focusing on the customers. Last night, in an un-related incident, a man got his wallet snatched, an Am/Pm in Citrus Heights. Am/Pm Employee, Sonia Mann says, this has never happened at their store before. Police say, "The victim tried to stop the suspect, demanding his wallet back. The suspect had a handgun, which the victim did not see. The suspect swung the handgun and hit the victim." Citrus Heights Police Officer Anthony Boehle says everyone needs to be more vigilant and pay more attention to their surroundings.
