University of the Pacific Fraternity Apologizes For Racey Photo Shoot
The University of the Pacific is investigating whether some of it's female students were exploited during a photo-shoot with some hip-hop artists.

The girls were invited to the photo shoot by members of the Sigma Chi fraternity. But niether the fraternity nor the co-eds knew what was in store for them: simulated drug and alcohol use, requests to don skimpy panties, all to help promote an album by the Berkley based rap group "The Pack"

We asked Fraternity member Jared Weiss, if we are talking about exploitation of students, or of women particularly, does that presuppose they are not able to make good decisions on their own?

"No absolutely not," Weiss said. "They are grown women, they are able to make their decisions as well. Unfortunately we put them in this position where they weren't able to handle it and we realy regret that point. That is not at all consistent with our values."

The Fraternity had agreed to the photo shoot in exchange for the band's appearance at a chairty event. Once things went too far, they canceled the rest of the shoot, and the band canceled their appearance.
