Sacramento Police say they've solved a 20-year-old homicide case that was featured on FOX40 News last year.56-year-old Donald Carter is behind bars, accused of murdering an 80-year-old woman.
Back in 1989, the body of Sophia McAllister was found inside her home.
She had been murdered and her home was ransacked.
Police later reopened the case, and thanks to new DNA evidence, they arrested Carter.
At the time of the crime, the suspect lived less than two blocks from the victim.
