SACRAMENTO—
A 57 year old woman from Elk Grove was arrested Thursday nights on felony hit & run charges. Police made the arrest less than 4 miles from where the fatality happened.. at a nearby bingo parlor.Shortly before 6 o'clock Thursday evening a 30-year-old woman from Sacramento was riding her bike northbound along Watt Avenue when she was struck by a car.
Police found enough evidence at the scene to determine the car was a 1990's style Buick. The vehicle was traced to a home in Elk Grove.
When police arrived they were told the woman was at a bingo parlor not far from the accident scene.
The woman was taken into custody about 8:30 Thursday night as she was leaving the Bingo Hall.
She was booked into Sacramento Couny Jail.
Officers have not yet released the identify of the suspect or the victim.
